DasGo — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DasGo is developed by Andrii Udod, an independent developer based in Austria, who is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: andriiudodwork@icloud.com.

2. What data the app processes

Without an account, your quiz settings, daily energy and practice statistics are stored only on your device. Nothing about you is sent to our servers.

If you create an account (optional), we process:

• Email address and password (email sign-up) or your Google account's name and email (Google sign-in). Authentication is provided by Google Firebase; your password is never visible to us.
• A user ID that identifies your account.
• Synced app data: your quiz preferences (language, level, endings selection), energy count and practice statistics (streaks, accuracy, per-article results), stored in Google Cloud Firestore so your progress follows you across devices.

If you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We and our subscription-management provider RevenueCat receive purchase tokens, product and transaction information and pseudonymous identifiers needed to activate and validate your subscription. We never receive your payment card details.

If you opt in to analytics (a first-run prompt; off until you agree), Google Firebase Analytics collects usage events (for example screens viewed, quiz started/completed), an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version and coarse location (country). We use this solely to understand how the app is used and to improve it. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app under Account → Usage analytics.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): providing the account, cross-device sync and your subscription.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): usage analytics. Withdrawable at any time; withdrawal doesn't affect prior processing.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): keeping the service secure and preventing abuse (for example subscription validation).

4. Service providers (processors)

• Google LLC / Google Ireland — Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Analytics, Google Play Billing (privacy policy, Firebase privacy)
• Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International — App Store in-app purchase processing and receipt validation on iOS (privacy policy)
• RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription management and receipt validation (privacy policy)

These providers process data on our behalf and may do so on servers outside the EU/EEA (including the United States); transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone beyond the processors listed above, unless we are legally required to do so.

6. Retention

• Account and synced data: kept until you delete your account.
• Analytics data: retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months.
• Purchase records: kept as long as required for accounting and legal obligations.

7. Deleting your account and data

Step-by-step instructions live on the dedicated account deletion page. In short, you can request deletion of your DasGo account and all associated synced data at any time:

• By email: write to andriiudodwork@icloud.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my DasGo account".

We will delete your authentication account and your synced data (preferences, energy, statistics, subscription status record) within 30 days. Data that exists only on your device is removed by uninstalling the app. Note that deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel it where you bought it: on Android in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions, on iOS in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email andriiudodwork@icloud.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde (DSB).

9. Children

DasGo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
